The Myth of Facebook Privacy


‎”In 2010, responding to a Freedom of Information Act request by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the U.S. Department of Justice released slides from a presentation titled “Obtaining and Using Evidence from Social Networking Sites” which cites Facebook as being the most cooperative social network in respect to accepting search requests. Among many other points of interest, the document notably encourages government agents to “go undercover on Facebook”, “communicate with suspects/targets”, “gain access to non-public info”, and “map social relationships/networks”.”
